Privacy policy

This policy explains how BGixTech Integration Solutions (“BGixTech”, “we”) handles personal data on the IOT Watchman website. We are the controller of the data described here and follow the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

What we collect

• Waitlist and demo forms: your name, email, role, organization, phone number (demo requests only) and any message you choose to write.
• Technical data for security: a salted, one-way hash of your IP address, used only to limit abuse of the forms. We do not store your raw IP address.
• Analytics (only if you allow it): anonymised usage data about how the site is used, collected by Google Analytics or Plausible. See the cookie policy.

Why we use it

• To respond to your request and contact you about the IOT Watchman pilot (your consent).
• To keep the forms secure and prevent spam (our legitimate interest).
• To understand and improve the site (your consent, via the analytics choice).

Who processes it for us

We use Supabase to host our database and run the form function, an email service provider to send notifications to our team, and Google Analytics or Plausible if you allow analytics. These providers process data on our instructions and may do so outside Nigeria.

How long we keep it

Waitlist and demo details are kept while the pilot programme runs and for up to 24 months after your last contact with us, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. To exercise these rights, email bgixtech@gmail.com.

Children

The site is for business users. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes

If we change this policy in a meaningful way we will update the date above.
